Business Planning: a six-hour seminar on business plan writing

When you hire us for business training and seminars, we come with our own training material. Seminars are led by David Howse who has over 30 year’s practical experience and 10 year’s of college and university instructor experience. David currently teaches at Mount Royal University in Calgary and from 2018 to 2020 he also taught marketing and entrepreneurship in Doha, Qatar (home of the 2022 World Cup).

Training programs can be custom designed for as short a time as you want to full 17-week programs.

The below set of  images is from one of our business planning guides. The first edition of this guide was written in 2008 and has been refined since.

Some of the topics covered include:

  • How to Come Up with a Business Idea
  • Product or Service Description Worksheet
  • Marketing Plan Worksheet

The guide covers multiple methods of coming up with a business idea. During the training, participants will be guided through each method. These worksheets can also be used in a business plan.

In this worksheet you will describe our business idea in enough detail that … by writing it down now, your mind has some time to  think about the idea and, maybe in a few days, an improvement comes to mind.

Applied Business Skills and Technology

Basic business skills are also very important. College, university, and even private training programs often overload students with too much information.

Our method is to train on what works. How do we know what works ? Because we also operate a marketing agency where we are immersed in the practical functions and technologies that make our clients the most money.

All of our courses are designed with a start-up entrepreneur in mind; this means, we assume our students will be responsible for all aspects of the activity and trying to do it all themselves.
